A comparison between two products: the Dr. Scholl’s Invigorating vs. the Kendal FBD2535

While I was looking for the best foot spa I managed to learn a lot. Here is my comparison between two of the most popular products in US.

There are many options from which you can pick, if you want to buy a foot spa bath massager, so no wonder you can get lost, confused and unable to decide on a product. Though you go out searching for a simple, day-to day-use foot spa, you get caught up in the offers and you notice a more expensive, all-included product that attracts you, even if it comes with an increased price.

The Dr. Scholl’s Invigorating Pedicure Foot Spa is an excellent product for a long relaxing bath in the evening, providing you with all the necessary features to allow you and your feet to spend a lovely time. The spa unit has enough depth to soak your feet up to your ankles, and offers plenty of space, no matter what your feet’s size. The unit has to be filled with warm water before using it, but once you do that, it takes care of maintaining a stable temperature by itself. In addition, it can massage your feet, being equipped with vibration and bubble massage features. Your feet are positioned on two anti-skid foot-shaped surfaces that are also able to make your feet feel relaxed, due to their pattern that also serves as a trigger point massage device.

In the upper side, the product is rigged out with a splashguard, (on which you can deposit other necessary spa tools), a detachable pumice stone and a rolling massage device. As it is especially designed for pedicure, the kit includes a 5-piece pedicure set nicely wrapped in a purple bag. However, this simple product has reduced dimensions (13.9 x 16.4 x 7.7 inches) and weighs only 4.2 pounds. Due to these two characteristics, you can carry it around easily, take it with you when you go on a trip and it can be conveniently stored in any place, a useful feature if you don’t have a spacious apartment.

If you are looking for a more professional tool, you can take a look at the Kendal FBD2535 Deep Foot and Leg Spa Bath Massager that offers you various massage options and multiple spa functions. The first thing that you notice at this product is that it looks a little bit strange, compared to the previous simple one. It looks more like a plastic lidded bucket. But, do not let yourself be deceived by its appearance: when you open it, you will be able to see the various devices, with which this product is fitted, each one of them with its own beneficial effects.

On the product’s floor there are two motorized rolling massagers, but the product also delivers oxygen bubble massage, water jet massage and it has point massage nodes. Another plus to it is that it is tall, so you can soak your feet up to your calves, thus offering them a relaxing experience as well. The splashguard is extended over more than half of the basin’s opening to avoid splashing. It heats the water and it maintains it warm too. The lid is fitted with a LED screen indicating the temperature and, next to it, the control panel that you can use to activate or deactivate a function.

Because when filled with water the product can become quite heavy, it is fitted with a hand lever and plastic rollers so that you can manage to move it with ease. You don’t have to lift it to drain water, as it is fitted with a drainage hose. However, its dimension can become a disadvantage. You can’t really carry it with you and you will need more storage space for this one than for the first product. It will also take you more time to clean it and maintain it clean, as there are more spaces where dirt can cumulate. Nevertheless, it is worth the trouble if you love comfortable foot baths.
